Description
Internal antiparasitic in oral suspension for cats.
Presentation
Bottle containing 15 mL with a dosing syringe for easy administration.
Action
A broad-spectrum internal antiparasitic that effectively eliminates various parasites.
Fenbendazole: Binds to tubulin, a key protein in the parasite's microtubules, inhibiting glucose uptake. This leads to energy depletion and death of the parasite.
Pyrantel: Stimulates acetylcholine release, inhibiting cholinesterase and causing neuromuscular blockade in helminths, leading to paralysis and detachment of the parasites.
Praziquantel: Increases the parasite’s permeability to calcium, causing spastic paralysis and tegumental damage, leading to its elimination.
Indications
Indicated for the treatment of infestations caused by cestodes (Dipylidium caninum) and nematodes (Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina, and Ancylostoma sp.).
Safe for pregnant females from day 41 of pregnancy onward and during lactation.
Formula
Each 100 mL of suspension contains:
Fenbendazole – 5 g
Pyrantel base (as pamoate) – 2 g
Praziquantel – 0.5 g
Excipients – q.s.
Dosage and Administration
Kittens and adult cats: 1 mL/kg of body weight in a single dose.
In severe infestations, repeat the dose after 24 hours.
Deworm again between days 15 and 21.
In cases of Giardia infection, administer for 3 consecutive days.
Contraindications
Do not administer to animals with known sensitivity to any of the active ingredients.
Side Effects
Occasionally, hypersalivation, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea may occur, but these symptoms typically resolve spontaneously.
Usage Restrictions
Do not administer to kittens younger than 20 days.
Not recommended for pregnant cats before day 41 of gestation.
